I'm definitely looking forward to the holidays as well <3

Kyra, I just read your post-before-last, have you had any breakthroughs? My best friend had a similar thing with her knee, no doctor could find anything for the longest time, even her own family didn't believe her, but eventually they found something that helped. My college roomie had something also where nobody believed her until she collapsed and couldn't walk for short periods of time randomly. There's some weird stuff out there :(

Just might have had a break through of sorts. Following a week of basically only eating Popsicles. Any other food caused extreme pain. So went to work for 4 days on that, already missed 9 days because of this problem and did not want to miss anymore. Did loose 5 hours on Friday however, it felt like piranha fish were eating me from the inside out!

My break through is finding out that I am potato intolerant. So on a no potato diet, which includes things that are in a potato, like vitamin a palmitate. Plus we think from all the pain I had and other systems a possibility of chrons... Going to get a GI scope done. Also, since that is the course on an even stricter diet for anti inflammatory, plus taking lots of supplements. I have a white board chart so I can check off I took all I need to take lol,

Been on this only a week and pain gone away, eating little amounts. So here hoping this is the culprit!

Those mystery symptom things are the worst. Starting in July I would get this kind of tightness in my throat which doesn't affect my ability to swallow, it's just a sensation, that then works it's way down into my chest and then radiates around into my back and can increase until it is quite painful. Thought I was having a heart attack. My doctor felt it was heartburn, gave me some acid blockers for a month but that didn't solve it, nor does taking an antacid during an "attack". A cardiac stress test actually showed my heart is in pretty good condition for my age so it doesn't seem to be that, I'm wondering if it's muscular since I get tension headaches and those come on kind of randomly in the same way this thing does.

But yeah, I'm worried that I'm missing something that's actually more serious, while the "attacks" are less often now and I find if I try to relax and just hug my knees for a while it seems to dissipate faster (it can last for 6 hours at times) if it keeps up I'll need to push the doctor to keep looking, maybe lungs or something, because it's really scary when it happens. So far it's only happened at night, before I go to bed, so it hasn't affected work, I can't imagine getting this while in the office and then trying to get home!

Kyra, glad you've found a potential thing to follow up on! A coworker of mine is on an "anti-allergy" (which I hadn't heard of before, different from anti-inflamatory) diet for something that sounds similar to what you're describing, since she found that her symptoms got worse when she had her seasonal allergies. Originally she thought it was a side-effect of one of her medications but it seems to persist even though she's been off it for a while.

Kyra, that's awesome!!! And you know, that's the third time I've heard of an elimination diet finding a problem nobody else could find... maybe that should be the first thing I suggest from now on ^^ I'm so glad things are looking up!!

SunBlind, that's terrifying!! I hope you can find out what's going on, I've heard of stress or other purely mental things triggering all sorts of muscle reactions etc, but you might want to see a specialist, if only to see if they have some techniques to help? I can't imagine feeling like you described for 6 hours :( I know this is not at all the same, but I used to get horrible leg cramps and someone showed me a really simple stretch to do at the very beginning of the cramp that took about 20 seconds and made it vanish, and after I started doing that they have become less and less frequent.

How is everyone's early holiday season going? Mine is making an already-crazy year even crazier, but I'm kind of happy that it's a positive crazy for once ^^

December already!

Guess we'll be pulling out the decorations this weekend, start sprucing up the house. Still need to do a lot of my gift shopping too but my family is hard to buy for, we already have so much stuff buying more stuff seems pointless so we have to look for things we need, maybe some food based things, like a nice gift basket of treats :)

Thanks Foxx! Here is to the diet and I hope it keeps working but man is it getting boring fast. Its hard to come up with something new to eat. lol Salad is not a salad without cheese and man I am craving dipping raw veggies in dip. OH well.

That sounds horrible Sunblind, it sounds worse pain than mine at least on some of the attacks. Maybe try getting tested for an in tolerance, maybe it may help.

I half way done my shopping, I start early if I see what I am after. I just wish for more snow! We had a nice snow fall but I did not get out in it until next day, worked day of the snow and by next day most was gone... However, went to next city over and they had a good but still, so made for a happy Nikita!
